What is CarbonTwin?

CarbonTwin's concept is simple: Free Carbon Trading. The project was created to promote free exchange of Carbon Offsets between members, who simply share their carbon offsets (for no compensation!) with members with higher carbon footprints. Our mission is to help planet earth through a creation of a free alternative platform to traditional costly carbon offset programs. How?

By matching CarbonTwin members, a CarbonTwin member with a negative CO2 emission level, simply "allocates" his negative CO2 emission level to another CarbonTwin member who needs to reduce his higher CO2 emission level.

Joining CarbonTwin, therefore, helps members with higher CO2 footprint, become carbon neutral!

Efforts to Stop California Cap-and-Trade

California finally could be serious about turning around their sputtering economy. One hopeful sign is a ballot initiative that would repeal the Golden State's version of a cap-and-trade carbon tax.

This feel-good law to reduce the state's carbon footprint was enacted with great hoopla by the Democratic legislature and Republican Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger in 2006 when the state's economy was would create jobs. The same fairy tale many in Washington are repeating today.

Nationwide Monitoring Network to Monitor Global-Warming Gases

The monitoring network which is expected to grow initially focus on pinpointing the sources and concentrations of methane, potent contributor to climate change. While monitoring stations around the globe already detect carbon dioxide, methane and other greenhouse gases, they are deliberately placed in remote locations and… Continue

cap and trade will destroy many companys

cap and trade is a nightmarish idea which aims to stop economic growth. Control of CO2 is kind of interference into free market, which is based on free competition on an equal basis. This idea rely on financial penalty just only for company existence. That's why in the long run "cap and trade" will bring the same problems as in case of price of oil manipulation and cause the crisis as we have today.

Carbon Trading In Europe: Companies can buy or sell a ton of CO2 for about $20

In the effort to reduce harmful emissions without subverting industry, one model has come to the fore: carbon trading. Under this system, a ceiling, or “cap,” is set on the amount of emissions allowed into the air, under which manufacturers and other emitters can buy and sell pollution permits. The cost of those permits, in turn, makes it economical for com… Continue
