We can reduce Carbon emissions by reducing population growth

Have we ever thought or cared enough about the environment’s carrying capacity? Do we fully understand the meaning of it? Perhaps we do not. The population is continuing to grow and will force us to adapt to a lower quality of life. Religion, lack of education and poverty dramatically increased the number of humans on earth. And humans are continuously using more than what the environment has to offer. Someone, has to limit this grow.

For thousands of years there have been groups of people who live according to nonsense theories. They follow unfounded speculations. They worship something that does not exist. Their lives are led by dull conceptions that decrease their quality of life. Believing that abortion is a sin, religious people increase their family size even when they lack the resources to support it. Catholic families have an average of 4 to 7 children. As of March 14, 1994 Orthodox Jews had an average of 6.4 children per family. Muslim families average 4.4 children to a family. This attitude impacts individuals who seek an enjoyable life. Moreover, it destroys natural habitat. The more growth, the larger the pollution and the fewer resources will be available. A standard family should include a father, a mother and two children at the most. This planet supports not only humans, but also plants and animals. Our dazzling earth should not bear and suffer with no reason. Religion creates a dense future and destroys nature’s gifts. Currently, there are 6,827,300,000 people on earth. Instead of living a high-quality life, we struggle on every piece of land. A law that will force families to have no more than two children per family has to be created.

Education is not the top priority of many people. This is a major issue. If this continues, the world is heading for disaster. The amount of women who stay at home is greater than it should be, and this has lead to high fertility rates worldwide. “The education of women plays a significant role in the issue of population growth.”(AAG)

The graph above provides essential information. What this teaches us is that women who have higher education have fewer children and women with lower education have more children. Higher education leads to a better selection of jobs and better health-care which reduces poverty. However, education is expensive, especially when a family carries six children or more. Children deserve and need education. Education leads to smarter family planning decisions. This usually results in reduced fertility rates for parents and also for their children. They are better able to understand the difficulties of life and the hardships that raising extra children causes. Responsible educated families not only do not overburden their environment but they also are most able to sustain it. Lower education has the exact opposite effect on populations. People have excessive numbers of children, low quality jobs and they usually slip into poverty. This leaves the government obligated to support them. The result is a perpetual cycle of high birth rate and high poverty. Without laws to direct people out of this situation nothing will change. Unfortunately, people will usually make the wrong decisions. This is not their fault; it is because they do not know any better. They must be forced, not only for their own well being, but also for the environment.

Yes, it is nice to have children, but it is not the government that should pay for them. People make a mockery of the system. The dilemma is that people take the government help for granted. This year the United States government will pay over seven hundred billion dollars for social welfare. Only Irresponsible parents leave their children’s upbringing in someone else’s hands. What left for these children in this world? Only one thing, a hard, difficult and punishing life. They will have to fight for their resources. They will not be happy in this world. Wars are already being fought over resources. It will take over our lives and the end will be very sad. The fewer people, the less conflict there will be. We live here for short amount of time, and it is better to make the best out of it.

We need a law, one that could limit our overpopulating habits. Let us stop deluding ourselves. Let us stop believing in nonsense theories that do nothing but slow our progress. Let us learn how to reap our own field. Stop from enslaving others to do our job. Stop and smell the roses. Overgrazing the earth is not a solution. We do not deserve more than other animals in the wild. We are becoming worse and worst with every generation. A law that limits two children per family could save the world.

Northwest Carbon thinks that farmers and hunters who help rid the nation of its feral camel population should be compensated with carbon credits. Australia does indeed have a major feral camel problem — the invasive species is crowding out native ones, trampling vegetation, and rapidly reproducing.
